Rev. Dr. Steve Kim
Lead Pastor
Reverend Steve (Young Dong) Kim was born in Seoul, Korea, where he spent his early school years before moving to the United States. Ordained in the United Methodist Church, Steve has dedicated the past 15 years to ministry. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Neuroscience from Knox College, IL; a Master of Divinity from Drew Theological School, NJ; a Master of Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary, NJ; and a Doctor of Ministry from Boston University School of Theology, MA. A member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society and the Nu Rho Psi Society, Steve enjoys spending time with his three children—Joseph, Daniel, and Miriel. Alongside his lovely wife, Rose, he finds joy in playing board games and is currently working on a children's book inspired by his kids. He loves watching movies. plays, and concerts.
Pete Malinverni
Music Director
Pete Malinverni began his musical life at age six, with Classical piano lessons in his hometown of Niagara Falls, NY. Since coming to New York City in 1981, he has performed widely, at Carnegie Recital Hall, Symphony Space, and most of that town’s great Jazz clubs. Pete Malinverni is a professor of Jazz Studies at Purchase College at SUNY. Pete Malinverni served for eighteen years as Minister of Music at the African-American Devoe Street Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY, and is now Director of Music at the Pound Ridge Community Church. He is a conductor/pianist/composer-in-residence at Westchester Reform Temple, in Scarsdale, NY.
Emily Konrad
Play School Director
Before serving in this role, Emily was a teacher in the 2s and 3s classrooms at Playschool. She is a parent of three Play School alumni and a member of the Play School Board. She holds a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from Cornell University and a M.A. in Childhood Education from New York University Steinhardt School. Emily began her career teaching third grade at Bedford Village Elementary School. Emily loves the energy and curiosity of preschool children. She finds work in early education to be incredibly rewarding. She lives in Pound Ridge with her husband, three children, two dogs, and one cat. Emily loves being outdoors, hiking, running, and working in her gardens. If she can’t be outdoors, Emily loves to read!
Rose H. Kim
Administrative Assistant / Promise Kids Leader / Director of Dream to All ministry
Rose Kim brings a wealth of talent and diverse skills to her role as Administrative Assistant, Promise Kids (Formally known as Sunday school) Leader, and Dream to All ministry director at PRCC. She believes her journey and her love for music can help spread faith and the message of Christ's love around the world. Rose's education includes studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia, Global Studies with a minor in Human Rights from the University of Washington, a Master of Theological Studies from Faith International University in Washington, and a Master of Music Education from Columbia University's Teacher's College in New York.
