Christmas Outdoor Live Walk-Through Nativity on Dec. 20 & 24

We are inviting families and friends to join at the outdoor Live walk-through Nativity this year. The pandemic may have changed how we celebrate Christmas this year; however, the story of Christmas continues. In light of a children's book titled "Refuge" by Anne Booth and Sam Usher, we would dive into the story of Christmas in support of the refugee crisis in the world.

Date & Time: Dec. 20 (2-4pm) & Dec. 24 (2-3pm)

Where: Pound Ridge Community Church lawn & parking lot (Please park your car at the Pound Ridge Elementary School parking lot).

How does it work?: Once you park your car at the elementary school, you will need to walk up to the church parking lot. There will be signs for you to follow up to the information booth. At the information booth, you will learn:
1 ) How follow the story
2) How to play scavenger hunt
3) Donation Box for our refugee neighbors

There is an opportunity for you to support this cause, and all the proceedings will help the Westchester Refugee Initiative spearheaded by Hearts & Homes for Refugees.

To donate through Pound Ridge Community Church, you can donate on the dates of events, mail to our church office, or click here for online giving.

Donation for Community Center of Northern Westchester

Our church has been supporting many families through CCNW (Community Center of Northern Westchester) and this year, in the midst of Covid-19, we would love to continue to support many more families.

For more information about this organization click here.

“Our services are offered free of charge to all who need help -- new arrivals, as well as residents who have deep roots in the community.”

The Center's Food Pantry helps to fill the gaps for more almost 2,000 families in more than 38 Northern Westchester communities.

The Clothing Bank helps to relieve the burden of clothing purchases for families, by offering them gently used clothing, free of charge.

Classes & Workshops designed to help individuals improve their job skills, manage on limited resources, and attain self-sufficiency.

Share the love of Christmas spirit with A-Home

This year, due to Covid-19, our church is collecting donations and Lynn Jacobson will deliver gift cards to A-Home.

“A-HOME provides safe, affordable rental housing in northern Westchester by purchasing, developing, and managing properties for its current programs, which include independent supportive living for low-income older adults and individuals with disabilities and apartments for single-parent low-income families. Through A-HOME’s case management and linkages with human service agencies, it has the ability to provide the needed support that helps individuals to live as independently as their potential allows.”

Christmas Giving Tree 2020 for Boys & Girls Village

Thanks to the generosity of PRCC donors, we were able to bless a local foster home last year with dozens of toys, clothing, diapers and gift cards. This year, we've decided that due to COVID-19 restrictions we will hold our Giving Tree fundraiser online. Please donate on the church website and click the dropdown box that says "Giving Tree." If you prefer to send a check or place cash in this Sunday's offering, mark your donation with the words "Giving Tree." We will be accepting donations now through Sunday, Dec. 13th.

“Boys & Girls Village, a nonprofit that connects foster children and teens with foster parents. There are over 200 children and youth in the program right now who need someone to open their heart and home by providing a loving, temporary home until their parents can get the help they need after being separated from their children due to alcohol, drug abuse or other factors.” Click here for more information
